Galatians 3:24
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. (KJV)
So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. (ESV)
We are not against the law. We are for it, but only for the purpose it was given. The law was given to bring us to the end of ourselves and lead us to the savior Jesus. The law was not given to be kept-we could not keep it. It was given to bring us away from the place of trying to earn, to the place where we freely receive what Jesus has done!
How about good works? How about fruits of righteousness.
I am glad they are fruits! If a tree must produce fruits, it has to be rooted properly in the ground! Once a tree is rooted, by default, fruit will come! Let the roots go deep in GRACE and in the love of God, and the fruit will abound!
We are against dead works-works done so as to earn.
But we are for good works-works that are outflows of what has already been worked in through faith in Jesus alone, and constantly beholding Him.
The law was to lead us to Christ? How? By not bending one bit to help us!
Friend, the law has done its job! Its time for you to see Jesus and be rooted in GRACE!Be inspired .God bless you
