Col 2:9-10
“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”
The moment you say ‘Yes Lord’ to Christ and He comes inside of you, you are complete. Grace becomes instantly abundant to you for all things. Because Christ is complete in all virtue, and you’re now his extension.
How do I know this?
The Bible says so in John 1:16
“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.”
So, any teaching or preaching that makes you feel un-worthy or short is not a true presentation of the relationship.
Any counsel that requires you to make a particular obeisance or offering, or attain a particular spiritual gift in – order to be complete before Christ is an ERROR.
The great exchange is one of the Mysteries of our faith. All the evil we deserve was transferred to Jesus Christ.
* Our sinfulness exchanged for Christ’s righteousness
*Our guilt exchanged for the Peace of Christ.
(Rom 5:1.)
* Our sickness for divine health and healing
(1 Peter 2:24)
* Curse for blessing (Gal 3:13-14)
“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
2 Corinthians 8:9
Curses and hardship were the result of Sin- “harmatia”(Greek). It means “walking away to one’s own ways”.
But as we saw in Gal 3:13, Jesus took all that curse and exchanged for the same blessings the Father already proclaimed upon Abraham.
God takes no pleasure in poverty or lack.
All the shame and fear were transferred to Jesus Christ upon the Cross, and now we have peace, fulfillment, righteousness and a BOLD ACCESS to God. We are COMPLETE in him, wanting nothing, because everything is in Christ Jesus. 2 Peter 1:3.
‘Rejection’ was exchanged for ‘Acceptance’ when Jesus was forsaken at the Cross. He was rejected and desolate as he hung upon that cross.
Today, when friends, or family reject you ONLY on account of the gospel of Christ, remember him who endured such contradiction of sinners against himself,
(Heb 12:3); and him who cried” Eloi Eloi, lama sabatchtani”(Mark15:34).
He took upon him all your rejection, so that you don’t have to plead to men to accept you.
Maybe you have a physical shortcoming, or you are considered unpleasant in men’s eyes, rejoice, for men look on the outside, but the Lord looks on the inward. (His estimation is the true measure). Just look up to him and be satisfied.
Perhaps the most profound of the great exchange is the “Old Man for the New Man”.
2 Cor 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
New man, not a renovated man. Not even a forgiven sinner, not a redeemed slave, NO.
You have exchanged you past for His future. You are engrafted into the destiny of Christ and have become on with him in Spirit. 1 Cor 6:17, Heb 2:10-11.
The New Man is an entirely new creature and specie.
Ephesians 2 : 10
” For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
