The Mind is the organ of thought.
Through it man thinks, imagine, remember, know, reason, understand, & express wisdom, cleverness & brilliance.
The Mind is the immaterial aspect of the brain, while the brain is the material aspect of the Mind.
The Mind is very important to man’s life & living, because, it’s thoughts influences every action he pulls.
Before man is begotten by the Holy Spirit, his mind is the centre of satanic, demonic & natural operations or movements.
But after his regeneration in Christ, the mind becomes the Eye of his spirit, & renewing the Mind begins. Rom. 12:2. Eph. 1:18.
For the new man in Christ must no longer CONFORM TO THE PATTERN (the way of life or Culture) OF THIS WORLD.
It is here that the battle begins.
AN ILLUSTRATION:
Man’s Spirit & Will likened to a Citadel, the SEAT & CENTRE of his existence & living is what Satan & his evil spirits Crave to Capture.
Now the open battlefield for this fight to capture the Citadel, the spirit & will of man is the Mind.
You will notice that in 2Cor. 4:4, Satan blinded the Minds of unbelievers from the entrance of THE LIGHT OF THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL OF CHRIST. And in Eph. 4:17-18, this blindness, resulting in Darkness in unsaved men, caused them to be separated from the LIFE OF GOD.
But now in Christ, the Glorious Gospel of Christ has INVADED the mind.
Yet, Satan & his demons fights to SHOOT darkness (the veil of the law, the actions void of the Holy Spirit’s leading, the traditions & philosophies of men) in there.
But the New Man in Christ mustn’t give them a foothold.
HOW WILL THE NEW MAN IN CHRIST RECEIVE CHRIST’S VICTORY IN THIS FIGHT OF FAITH?
1: He must maintain A STRONG SPIRIT. A SPIRIT RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT’S SUPPLY OF INNER STRENGTHENING DAILY. Eph. 3:16.
2: He must SET his Mind ON THINGS ABOVE (CHRIST, THE SUM TOTAL OF ALL SPIRITUAL THINGS) DAILY BY THE HOLY SPIRIT’S INNER MOVEMENTS WITHIN HIS HUMAN SPIRIT. Col. 3:1-2.
3: He must be Receiving Daily the SLAYING LIGHT OF GOD’S WORD & PRESENCE. Isaiah 6. The Self Disclosure Of Christ in his spirit. Gal. 1:15-16.
Praying without Ceasing, Fasting As Led by the Holy Spirit & Spiritual Meditations must be daily. 1Thess. 5:16-21.
All of the above are EASY & LIGHT YOKE OF CHRIST IF THE HOLY SPIRIT LEADS YOU ON EACH OF THEM.
FOR WITHOUT HIM YOU CAN DO NOTHING. John 15:4-5.
